Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata has met with his team's officials on Monday to discuss his move to Manchester United, the Spanish newspaper AS reported.

United want to join Alvaro Murata, but Real Madrid's financial claims are blocking the deal.

The AS newspaper highlighted the meeting in Bernabeu today between Real Madrid officials with agent Murata and his father Alfonso at noon today to bring the player and club closer together.
Murata also wants to leave for a greater chance of playing in the starting lineup after suffering a bench last season with Real Madrid.

Despite scoring 20 goals in 43 matches, Morata has started in just 19 games throughout the season.

Real want Real Madrid to get 80 million euros for Morata, which was rejected by Manchester United, who sees the amount exaggerated.

The Royal is still holding on to 80 million euros, which the player's agent is trying to reduce in order to complete the deal.
