LONDON (Reuters) - Aston Villa striker John Terry has joined Chelsea in a free transfer after leaving the Blues Castle.

John Terry had been away from Chelsea after a long and distinguished journey that began in 1998 during which he played 713 games in the jersey.

Terry won 14 league titles with Chelsea, the only one in the Champions League.
"I'm happy to join the team," Terry said after joining Aston Villa. "He's been a team for years and has great players and an experienced coach like Steve Bruce."
