The Swiss won his eighth title at Wimbledon, 19th in Grand Slams, beating Marin Cilic in the final, who played with pain on the left sole .

Roger Federer has been proclaimed Wimbledon champion for the eighth time. The Swiss has remembered how difficult it was for him to lose his last two finals: "I remember what it hurt to lose in 2014 and 2015, but I fought a lot to get the eighth Wimbledon."

In the interview at the foot of the track has recognized that "this track is special for all players, it is incredible to be able to win here". The current No. 5 ATP has wanted to remember his rival in the final, Marin CIlic, congratulated him for his great tournament and his way of fighting.

Roger Federer won his eighth Wimbledon. The Swiss undone in three sleeves (6-3, 6-1 and 6-4) of a Marin Cilic who had physical problems through out the game, but did not give up until the end. 

The genius of Basel was far superior, from beginning to end he gave no choice to the Croatian, who was stunned by the Swiss gale. It's his 19th Grand Slam title.
